Cramalot Inn's travels

"The glories of a mountain campfire are far greater than may be guessed." - John Muir
Why We Bought a Camping Timeshare

"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." - John Muir

When we first bought Cramalot Inn, we never imagined all of the amazing adventures she would take us on.  Merriam-Webster defines adventure as “an exciting or remarkable experience.”   We’ve gone whale watching in Bar Harbor, Maine; roller coasting riding at Knoebels Amusement Park in Ellysburg, Pa; witnessed the Linesville Spillway, where ducks walk on fish; explored Lakes Erie and Ontario; but most importantly, we have spent countless hours with friends and family and have built memories to last a lifetime.  I started this blog so that I can capture those memories and look back on them someday and proclaim, “Wow, we had such an amazing and blessed adventurous past.”

Enough of me being sap – let’s get to our most recent adventures!

I have categorized each of my posts about campgrounds in order to make them easy to spot.  Each time we visit a campground, I provide a review at the end of each post.  Huge caveat – my taste may be different than yours and that’s quite okay but make sure you read my Rating Criteria to see what we are seeking when making our final judgement.

Suggestions of Things To Do

Most trips, as the extreme planner-scheduler, I have some type of itinerary either documented or in my head.  We have visited Bar Harbor, Maine; Gettysburg, PA; Raystown Lake, PA, and many other places that I’m sure I’ll be inspired to write about.  As my crazy life permits, I’ll spend some time organizing my thoughts and sharing my list of fun activities to do in the places we have previously camped.  This is certainly a work in progress but I’m excited to begin by sharing Gettysburg soon.

Our Upcoming Trips

We have some non-camping vacations planned this summer, which really eats into our camping weekends.  As a result, we don’t have as many trips planned for the 2022 season.  We visited Cape Henelopen State Park of Delaware, Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (our home campground for our Camping Time Share), Ricketts Glen State Park, and soon we’ll be heading back to Gettysburg Battlefield Resort.  After that we sadly only have one more trips on the books.

A brilliant photographer, I am not; however, I vow to make a more conscience effort to capture the beautiful essence of every trip.  For now, here are some of the pictures I’ve captured through the course of our camping adventures.
